72 Hrs to go…

With just 73 hours to go the house is taking shape

The floors were finished today… It’s the last week of work before we move in.. Very very exciting!

Two weeks to go.. Looks amazing already

With two weeks to go the house is looking better and better every day. I’m so excited!

Kids bathroom

The tile and counter in the kids bathroom is done… Spectacular!

Progress… Finally

The last week has been very eventful. The house is now fully shaped, framed and taped up. Tile is being put on.. The cabinets are almost all in place and the counter tops are getting installed… Very exciting…

Tile and fabric

Today they started laying down the tile for the kitchen. Looks amazing. Also went to shop for some fabrics for the house.mainly the guest room and living room.

Progress

Finally we are gaining speed again. After lost time because of inspections that took forever, lathing taping and dry wall is almost done. The house is taking shape. Very exciting

Annus Horribilis

So bad news…
There is a delay in the construction…
Because of the rough inspection and a combination of some work not being done in time we have lost 2 weeks… The earliest we will be able to move in it seems is now January 15th.
This is very distressing.. I can’t believe I won’t be in my home before the new year.
I’m depressed.

Garage garage…

Today we measured the master closet for a built in…here are a few gems from that part of the day…

“… And your wife, how many clothes does she have?…” ( this was after I said that im moving in with my husband Mitch…

“… You have 100 pairs of shoes? Do they all need to fit into this closet? …”

” how tall are you? I want to make sure you can look down into the drawers when we build them…”

“… You put scarves on hooks?….”

Then we went on to figure out why is the garage not working… This us the brand new, 1 hour old garage… Yes… Still cannot put anything of value in it cos it still cannot lock… I’m do happy I just spend all that money to build me a NEW garage door that still won’t lock…
